About
My dissertation treats the evolution of sanctuary and asylum privilege in the Tudor, Elizabethan, and Stuart periods. Beyond offering a historical account, it looks at how such spaces were represented and perceived in early modern England as well as the ways in which theatre spaces more literally intersected with the complicated set of immunity franchises in London.
