About
I'm a 2nd year student in American Civilization. My focus is the intersection of race and sexuality in American popular culture, specifically African American cultural production, in the 19th and 20th centuries.
I am the author of HUNG: A Meditation on the Measure of Black Men in America (Doubleday Books, 2006) as well as The VIPs, a novel from Broadway/Random House, in 2011.
